Ken has been responsible for research and development in the Department of Defense for over twenty years, specializing in fielding advanced technology to solve hard operational problems. Ken has a short attention span and boundless energy which means he has amassed a large number of hobbies including, piano, golf, running, tennis, woodworking, computer stuff, photography, astronomy, skateboarding, flying, model building, grilling, and home improvement.

Ken holds a degree in Aerospace and Ocean Engineering from Virginia Tech. He holds single and multi-engine instrument aircraft ratings as well as a glider rating.
